Artist Statement
My work is process-based and spans drawing, painting, mixed media, video, and music. Projects often unfold over years, from the intimate works on paper of String Theory to immersive media pieces like Ambiencrush and Zero Time. The thread running through all of it is impermanence, shaped by my spiritual beliefs and by significant personal loss. My influences include Ryuichi Sakamoto, Brian Eno, and Bill Viola. I show my work under my own name and as ABTechno, an artist collective I founded.
In 2026, my work received an Honorable Mention (Abstract/Experimental) in Artist Magazine’s 42nd Annual Art Competition. My painting Maternal Passage was accepted into Remember You Must Live: On Life, Loss, and Impermanence at the Guilford Art Center. ABTechno also premiered three new multimedia compositions, Roppongi 3 AM, Cracknet, and Golden Pig, at Guilford Porchfest.
